FLY is a civilian aircraft simulation. You can fly any one of five planes: The Piper Malibu Mirage, which is a turbocharged single propeller plane, Beechcraft King Air B200, Cessna 172R Skyhawk (not the RNZAF Skyhawk), Piper Navaho Chieftain, and the Raytheon Hawker 800XP, which is a business executive jet and easily the most fun to fly.

Unless you opt for beginner mode you’ll have a hard time just starting the planes up. It’s amazing how many buttons and knobs you have to push and press to get the things going.

FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2000 and Flight Unlimited III are both civilian aircraft flight simulations. They both have great pedigrees, and have their vociferous supporters and detractors.
The Flight Simulator series from Microsoft have tended to be the most complex simulation game out, while the Flight Unlimited series have tended to have the best on-screen graphics.

HELICOPTER combat simulations have always been popular computer games. One of the first was Gunship, and its successor Gunship 2000 was a great game. Very dated now, but it involved flying different choppers in lots of missions, ranging from rescue flights to search and destroy.

The South East Asian release of Team Apache featured he same artwork on the box and the manual.
Your pilot character chalked up kills, and was decorated and promoted. I spent many a long hour at this game. It even had a “boss” key so you could hide the game if the boss came in – very useful for those long lunch-hours at university holiday jobs!
Helicopters are very difficult beasts to fly. You have to control the pitch, collective, and throttle, while always being aware of ground wash and terrain. When you add in grumpy enemies shooting at you it all becomes very hard indeed.

As Colonel Christopher Blair you saved the Confederation in the Kilrathi War. But it seems your retirement on Nephele II is not destined to last long. (Not a big shame, as Nephele II is mostly sand).
The Confederation needs you again. Ships and convoys are going missing or being destroyed en route to the Border Worlds. The Border Worlds were Allies of the Confederation during the war, but are they now trying to gain more independence? Or is someone within the Confederation staging the attacks to further their own twisted plans?
Set in the 27th century, WC IV continues the popular Wing Commander series. Mark Hamill (aka Luke Skywalker) returns to his role as Colonel Blair, and also starring are Malcolm McDowell and John Rhys-Davies. WC IV follows on from WC III with an excellent Hollywood production movie feel. The introduction to the game is a fantastic little movie in its own right, and interspersed between the space fighter combats are more of these scene-setting movies.

great
In between missions you can walk around the ship and talk to various people such as fellow pilots, rookies, and the commander. After each little conversation you have a choice of response, which can affect how that person acts later in the game.

JANE’S USAF is a combat flight simulation that lets you fly some of the most famous jet fighter planes in the United States Air Force.
In Jane’s USAF you get to fly eight planes. The F105 Thud fighter-bomber conducted most of the strike missions in Vietnam, while the F4E Phantom fighter, again from Vietnam, apparently has seen more air-to-air combat than any other jet fighter.

Janes USAF Screenshots:
From the Gulf War comes the F15 Eagle, which is America’s front-line fighter and ground attack aircraft. The F117 Nighthawk is famous as the world’s first stealth aircraft. The F16 Falcon is quite small compared to the F15, but awesome in air-to-air engagements.
