Moto Racer

MOTO RACER is an arcade simulation of motorbike racing offering two basic racing types – superbikes and motocross.

With superbike racing you’ll be speeding around city tracks, zooming past English villages and castles, through tunnels, even along the Great Wall of China, and always at awesome speeds. Just to make it interesting, there will be 24 other riders trying to get past you.

in. The graphics are really good for a game you can download off the computer. This game is pretty old, it was made in 1997, and I remember playing it during the my summer vacation to visit

In motocross the action isn’t all just speed thrills. This is where you get down and dirty! You might be racing in a dirt-track arena, or through a snowy canyon, so you’ll have to get used to power-sliding very quickly. There are numerous jumps, and you can do all sorts of tricks as you fly through the air. How about doing a quick handstand before you land?

Moto Racer is firmly arcade oriented, much like the games in a video parlour. You won’t have to fiddle around with adjusting suspension, testing cambers, choosing tyres, deciding what colour goggles to wear, and so on, unlike some other racing games that have gone a bit overboard in the simulation department.

The Moto Racer series is back with Moto Racer 3 Gold Edition. The game presents a wide variety of brand new game modes, circuits, bikes and

There are eight tracks available, though some only become available as you progress through the championship. Luckily you can save after each successful race, some of which are very tough. Moto Racer offers eight different bikes for each road and motocross track. Each bike has four attributes: acceleration, top speed, grip, and braking – which do actually make a difference. Try a bike that’s all acceleration and no grip in the Snow Canyon and you’ll see what I mean.

Another annoyance that surfaces, occurs in the freestyle mode, where stunts are performed when taking huge jumps. Without the possibility to remap the

The graphics in Moto Racer are simply superb. I know I’m still getting used to my Righteous 3D card with it’s 3Dfx graphics chip, and soon all the best games will look like this, but even so the graphics are easily as good as a console. I’m running it on a Pentium 166MMX, and it as smooth and fast as you could want, even at top graphic detail. The scenery is awesome, especially the background mountains along the Great Wall track. The bikes and riders are incredible too. As you go round a sweeping bend on a motocross track you’ll see the rider put out his leg and lean into the turn, leaving long skid marks in the dirt.

Hexen Ii

HEXEN II is the third in this series of role-playing games. In Heretic and Hexen you managed to destroy two of the Serpent Riders, now the third, Eidolon, is intent on destroying the land of Thyrion.

To stop him you’ll have to fight past hordes of knights, wizards, imps, and other nasties, as well as the mighty four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Simcity 2000 And Simcity 2000 Scenarios Vol.1 Great Disasters

The original SIMCITY is a computer game classic, and SIMCITY 2000 keeps up the tradition. The actual aim of the game sounds very dull. I mean since when is town planning the stuff of which great games are made? Somehow they do it, and they do it well.

Pagan is a world of twilight, where the sun is never seen, and is ruled by acolytes of the four Titans; Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. They all have their own schools of magic, which are jealously guarded. You will have to learn these magics in order to face the Titans and travel back to your own land. Front Lines

Game supplied by Quay Computers, Wellington

Front Lines is a war-game based on a future conflict between huge Cartels, each vying for control of the world economy. It is the 21st century, and there has been a long period of world peace and co-operation, but now after four years of drought the Cartels are taking their chance and have unleashed their private armies.

Fucking awesome. Those lines of dead guys? Not me. :)

(It gets a bit confused at times; on the box it says the game is set in 2020, whereas the manual has a long spiel about war in 2044, on the centenary of the attack on Pearl Harbour – it seems to me that the centenary of Pearl Harbour would be 2041, but never mind.)

You will be in charge of units of Infantry, Armour, Artillery, and Support. Each basic combat class has several types, such as the Ferret, Light Tank, Heavy Tank, and Mega-Tanks. Each combat unit is rated for movement, offensive and defensive ability, morale, and more. Some have special abilities like indirect fire and being able to perform over-run attacks.
